Does anyone think that the women's Olympic uniforms are kind of S****y ?

I mean I think it's unnecessary to have them walking around in bathing suits especially for the the track and field outfits. Why do the women have to were tiny outfits while the men get to wear tight shorts and a shirt that actually covers their torsos? Same with beach volleyball because the guys were shorts and long t-shirts while the women wear tiny bathing suits.

Anyone else think this is weird?

  1. It's for agility numbnutz

  2. I do, i say the countries should invest in more clothes for the women and if they find it too expensive just cut down on men clothing and have them wear next to nothing ^_^

  3. No.  They don't wear them to be provocative, but for speed and agility in track, and less wind resistance.

Bikinis are actually the required uniform.  In beach volleyball the uniforms are practical for a sport played on a sand beach during the heat of summer. A poll taken among professional women's players prior to the 1996 Olympics showed that a vast majority of players preferred the two piece suit to minimize the trapping of sand in the uniform during intense play

  4. Well, it's so they can move easier. But did you happen to notice in the women's track events, there is a Muslim woman who wears a full bodysuit so as to adhere to her spiritual codes.

And it's kind of a dress code for the men to wear full shirts in China. Most everywhere else, they aren't required to wear them.

  5. Nah, most of them don't even have anything under there worth seeing XD.

  6. i don't mind

  7. They should cover up more, and at least remove their wedgies when possible...

  8. well with the athletics uniforms, 4 reasons, one is because the smaller tigher outfits offer less wind resistance and the material then cant get caught in the wind, and lets face it in elite compition, every single little thing that you can use to your advantage counts

but i can still hear you saying "well why cant they wear the same type of  out fit the men do?" well that leads me to the rest of my points, 2, it is traditional as well, 3rd, lets be honest here, a little bit of s*x appeal doesnt hurt now does, i mean i know a lot of you girls enjoy the front on shot in athletics when the men are in the tight shorts, h**l even my g/f admits that! it cuts both ways people!! lol 4th, remember these are all summer sports, the smaller two track outfits allow much easier cooling for the athletes then the one piece style, the having that extra cooling must be a big help, especially somewhere as hot and humid as Beijing

regarding the beach volleyball, 2 reasons, one, once again, lets face it, it adds s*x appeal to the sport, which gets more people watching, which leads to more people playing, which leads to more money in the sport which leads to better players and competition, the 2nd point is that there is actually very practical reason why the costumes for the women are so small, the small and tighter the outfits are, the harder it is for sand to get inside a womans "nether reigins"

now i can speak from experience, but i get the feeling that sand in a womans "nether reigins" cannot be a good feeling and that they would want make the chances of that happening as small as possible

hope that helps and answers the question

  9. yes i do, i was just thinking this. I think its very revealing! :S

  10. Not at all.  It is all about performance.

  11. Beach Volleyball requires the men to wear shirts, they (IOC??) don't allow them to go shirtless. ... There were talking about it during a beach event, also had one of the ladies saying they "feel" sorry for the guys having to wear the shirts, seeing how most of them normally train without them on the beach.

Hey why don't they make the diving events fair? make the ladies wear only that speedo also, lol
