Does anyone think the KFC colonel has gone down the toilet ?

Kfc takeout in the 80’s used to be really nice. Now when I buy a

Family feast or standard chicken portion meal, it tastes gross regardless of restaurant. The chips are always stodgy or undercooked, the chicken is always greasy and the pepsi is always watered down. I think next to burger king, this is the most expensive takeout place (and the portions are tiny).

This is usually what happens when the founder of a company passes away. Just look at Wendy's and Walmart.

The founder cared about their product and their heirs sometimes just care about making more money on a business that they didn't even start.

i love it. if you ever get it again try this, peel the skin off the chicken, wrap it round a couple of chips an dip it in thier gravy. its like heaven in your mouth.

Well I am not sure what the hygiene is like in your kfc's but in the two that there is in the city I live in is pretty diabolical to say the least. I do believe that these restaurant's are going downhill although with that said there does seem somehow a pretty long queue at times, usually when the pubs are shut. The food used to be nice but as you say the chips are soggy and the chickens are much smaller, not too keen on the service either as this is pretty bad too.

I totally agree, it is far to expensive for the size of the portions you get. I used to love going there but not any more. I think McDonalds is getting very pricey too but their food is so good.

Of course it has....

Since It is no longer the 'original recipe' and is now KFC

instead of Kentucky Fried Chicken....they are no longer concerned with doing it the colonel's way.

Hasn't anyone noticed that it's branded and bought out?

hence the name change to KFC it can no longer be called

Kentucky Fried Chicken and can no longer use the original recipes.

KFC, what a name, the Colonel and his chicken, a feast fit for a king, and you could feed you family pretty cheap, too. But now, the service suks, the chicken is so dang greasy and its also smaller, the mashed taters taste like they forgot to wash the dirt off before cooking em, See, this is what comes from selling out and changing your "Original" finger lickin' good menu, Pepsi Cola bought em out, ruined em, the same as Burger King, now it's nothing but ..... well, you know what Im sayin'.

I think so! Popeyes chicken is doing great and taste even better than KFC! KFC used to be my favorite until I tried Popeyes!
