Question:

Does anyone think the courts are too small in the movie "Wimbledon?"?

I'm specifically talking about the wide-angle shots that show both players and the whole court. I haven't actually seen this movie, just the movie trailers. I've been playing tennis most of my life, and the courts just looked tiny on screen. I think they may have shrunk the court during their green screen process, so they could digitally insert the tennis ball, but I was hoping that someone would be able to verify that this is what they did.

  1. no, they're not smaller, cause they actually film in the all england lawn tennis club, where wimbledon is played.-

if you have the dvd or ever rent it, watch the extras, and kirstern dunst says ir there.-

hope you like my aswer, :)

  2. I think the issue is more that you're used to seeing televised TV matches, where they use camera angles that make the court look ginormous compared to real life.

I'm sure the green screening of the movie has something to do with it too - it's a combo of factors at work here, to answer your question.

  3. they are the same size. its just the camera angle

  4. The courts are the accurate size.  They look smaller because of the camera angles and revolving views.

  5. Yeah! They are! I noticed that when i was watching it at a store. I thought it was pretty weird. I don't think that it is small in real life, just in the movie.

  6. I haven´t noticed it but i will probably be more attentive if i watch the movie once again.
