Does anyone think the price of gas will come down soon?

No not until America can start producing more oil here instead of being so dependent on foreign oil. They are predicting gas to be up over $4 a gallon and depending on where you are you may already be there or very close. Also American's and the whole world needs to look at other means of energy like Hydrogen and more Ethanol, Electric, Until either of these happens most likely you will see a increasing amount in oil prices

No, most people feel this is a permanent rise and we arent finished yet - expect another 50-60 cent rise over the summer with fuel staying above 4$ from now on

Truckers dont want to drive no more because they pay $1000. and people who dont pay that much complain about it sooo to your question no prices not going down any time sooo maybe next year or a little afterward.

I know it is suppose to still rise until Memorial Day then it is suppose to drop a little. As far as it being below $2, I think thats a thing of the past. I dont think we will ever see prices that low again.

The crude oil prices are affected by the interest rates set by the Federal Reserve because they affect the value of the U.S dollar on the world market. As the dollar drops in value, it takes more  dollars to purchase the same items.  So it seems our own government is causing gas to go up because of it's efforts to help the home loan foreclosure's. So because SOME people got themselves caught up in variable rate loans that started out extremely low,THE REST OF US have to pay for their folly. The federal reserve has dropped the rates SEVEN time since September 2007. OPEC is charging the world ABOUT the same amount but since the dollar has dropped in value obviously the cost per barrel goes up in relation to the dollar value.

looking back at history gas has always went through spikes, when the spike is over the price NEVER goes back to its pre spike price. example

gas start off at 3.00 there is some stupid scare and it jumps to 3.75, after the scare the gas will fall back to 3.25 never again to be at 3.00.

i personnally think its the way that the govenment raises the price of gas while pretending its the markets fault.  

in the secenior that i said people will be happy once again once the gas is back to 3.25, but not take into account that it jump 25 cents.

nobody can say for sure. It doesn't look like it will drop much. If it does it will soon go back up.

The problem is not the government. The problem is not the oil companies. The problem is supply vs demand. Oil is global. Oil goes up in demand world wide everyday. It is traded on a global market based on supply vs demand. The market determines the price. YOU and ME. The more we use the higher the price.

In 2003 China's demand for oil went up 30%. India is not for behind.

We have to find a way to do without oil.

You're kidding right? Gas is never going to come down. Soon we'll have to start selling body parts to buy gas. lol
