Does anyone think the tomato salmonella controversy got out of hand?

I eat tomatoes and it sounds like an excuse to drive up the prices and now I heard on the news about bell peppers!! I think most people are probably putting bad salad dressing on them!!! I am just tired of the bull about salmonella in the vegies!!

Yeah haha turns out it wasn't even the tomatoes that caused it! I bet the tomato farmers are rather angry.

I think your right, I have not met anyone who has gotten sick. I have been eating tomatoes by the ton! You make a good point, they will just keep changing veggies each week to drive up prices. It really is appalling!
