I somehow feel we will adapt, improvise and overcome. But, it will be a bad time for awhile till things flatten out.

  1. Not with the Democrats in control of Congress.

They believe in being subservient to OPEC, putting the environment over people (I guess they figure they can get more people, but they can't get more land), and taxing the "problem" to death.

  2. Maybe there will be some invention or scientific discovery that will alter the current situation.

Otherwise Exxon will be more powerful than the government.

  3. Us citizens are clamoring about drilling here - don't they know that most if not all of that oil would be going to serve Asia?

That's what this is all about - whoever the highest bidder is on the sale of oil will receive it.  People seem to think that US citizens will be the beneficiaries.  They won't!

Asia is exploding right now and will continue to do so and we, my fellow Americans, are not going to be the recipients in this equation.

We need to focus instead on alternative energy resources.

  4. Not going to happen. Read the Bible.

  5. Well, I hope so, but I can't help having a bad feeling that we are going to roll over some more for the oil companies like we've been doing.

  6. It is not going to happen...solving the oil problem. Read "The Book", it is all spelled out.

  7. Not unless we take the liberals and the environmentalists and run them out of government.

  8. Only if we can create viable alternative energy sources. probably fusion,  and wean ourselfs off of all fossil fuels and find ways to get more of other mineral resources that we will need.
