Question:

Does anyone think what Brett Farve did was right?

He retired in March then for about a month he talks about coming back. Then he does everything in his power to come back. Finally today he got reinstated. I think he is putting a lot of pressure on that Rodgers kid and it is just not right. He's playing the Roger Clemens game. ( And we all know what happened to him).

  1. I think he prematurely retired so that was wrong, but wanting to play again insn't wrong

  2. Retiring before he was ready was a BAD decision by Favre.

Everything else that has happened since Favre decided he still wanted to play has been the result of BAD decisions made by the Packers organization.  The Packers organization agreed to that long term contract with Favre!  No one forced them to sign that contract!  The Packers should have only signed Favre until age 38 if they knew they didn't want him past then!  That's not Favre's fault in any way, shape, or form.

It's painfully obvious the Packers don't want Favre back.  WHY they don't want him back is still a pretty big mystery to me - Favre gives the Packers the best chance to win in '08.  Regardless of whether or not it hurts Aaron Rodgers' feelings to hear that, it's true.

  3. Well, Favre will be the starter in Green Bay even if he has to compete for the starting job.  I, being a huge Favre and Packer fan, think the situation could have been handled better from Favre and the Packer organization.

Favre gives the Pack the best chance to win as he is a proven QB.  Rodgers may be good, but has not proven anything.

  4. i think farve used to be a very respectable quarterback, but after these past couple weeks i have lost all respect for him,i feel really bad for aaron rodgers and i wish green bay would stick with him as their starter,i think farve is just to old to play as good as he once did

  5. Yes, because I think the Packers forced his retirement hence this paying for him to stay retired.  The Packers ownership should be ashamed of itself.  Favre was in the top 5 QBs last year and he deserves to start on 25 of the NFL's teams including the Packers.  If he's good enough to beat ya, he's good enough to start on your team!

  6. I mean he was kind of forced to retire.  And the money to buy him out was on the table since march forcing him to stay retired.  Plus all of that media coverage and questions ("are u gonna retire? are you gonna retire? and so on. kind of forced him to make that decision.

In the end he followed his heart and wanted to comeback.

  7. I would answer but im tired of the questions

  8. It's a dog eat dog world. If the Rodgers kid can't stand the heat, he shouldn't be making the 10s of millions of dollars. The guy thought he wanted to retire, and changed his mind. How is that a crime?

  9. so tired of hearing brett farve...WHO CARES!!!!!! when he plays the packers in the regualr season espn will make some stupid special about how he was so great for them...blah blah blah!!!! its like WE KNOW!!!!! shut up about farve!!!..like a storybook ending...can we please comeback to reality and understand that everyone is tired of hearing about this dude..1 week its breaking news that hes considering taking the money to stay retired and the next hes considering rejecting it...OMG...im sooooo tired about hearing BRETT FARVE!!!!!!! honestly dont care wtf he does now lol

  10. yes i do. he wants to play football. the packers wont let him play so he wanted to be released or traded. now they take him back. i say, if he wants to play, then let him play. whos to say your not aloud to play anyway?

  11. What is up with this Top 5 QBs last year talk? He finally had a good year again after having horrible years the past few before that. Don't you people remember the 29 INT and 24 INT years before last year. Only winning like 5 games. What happened last year wasn't all Favre like some people seem to be acting like.

  12. LAST TIME I CHECKED PEOPLE COME OUT OF RETIREMENT EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!!!

I AS A DIE HARD PACK FAN AM EXCITED... s***w RODGERS HE LOOKS LIKE c**p ANYWAYS.

  13. h**l no, hes a selfish washed up b*****d, banking on his fans loyalty to him to get him back in.  He had his day, people need to learn to retire gracefully and let the young take over.  Just like my boy Michael Strahan,  I mean seriously what a way to end a legacy, he pulled the same bs for the last couple of yrs. Packers shouldve cut him a while ago.  Washed up senior.
