  1. 1. y = mx + b, where m is slope.

    b represents a slope of -2, because, rewritten, it's y = -2x + 1

    2. You mean y-intercept, I think.  y = .5x + 2

2 is the y-intercept, because b is always the y intercept.

    3. 0, because it has no m, or x.

  2. 1. b. y=1-2x

(b is the correct answer because y=mx+b is slope intersept form m=slope of line so -2 would be the slope of this line, b is not in slope intersept form if it was it would look like this y= -2x+1 but b is still the correct answer)

    2. c. 2

    i'm guessing you ment y-intercept

(c is the correct answer because in the slope intersept form y=mx+b, b= y-intersept, and if you distribute 1/2 you end up with y=1/2x+2 so 2 would be the y-intersept of this line and the slope of this line would be 1/2)

    3. a. 0

(a is the correct answer because if its a horizontal line it has a slope of zero, if its a vertical line the slope is unidentified)

i hope i helped. please do try to understand how to do this and dont just take the answers and be done with it. trust me if you dont learn how to do it now latter in your schooling it will bit you in the butt.  good luck. :)

  3. 1) b

    2) c

    3) a
