  1. I have had vonage for 2 years and love it I have the unlimited plan and the bill is 30.00 every month never any higher than 32 compared to verizon etc that start at 54.00 a month if you are interested in getting it let me know I can refer you and we both get 2 months free.

  2. My sister and brother-in-law _HAD_ it.  They dropped it real quick, not with direct problems with Vonage, but because they were getting a lot of noise, static, and dropped calls because of continuing  Internet service problems with their broadband ISP.  Instead they went with a different cell phone plan that allowed unlimited calling to selected numbers they called most frequently.

If you have a decent broadband service Vonage may be a good choice.  But do your homework first with other calling options with conventional "Baby Bell" land line and cell phone plans, and prepaid calling calling cards for making long distance calls on a land line.  I use prepaid calling cards for long distance calls on my land line, since I make so few of them and it's the cheapest way to go for _ME_.  Vonage couldn't compete for MY telecom needs.  YMMV, of course.

  3. I have vonage ( using the $15/month plan 500mins nationwide)

I can't complain, I love it. International phone rates are great.

You can set your phone to ring your cell phone if you loose connection. You get your voicemail sent to your email...

People sound good on it, there may have been time where the connection wasn't good but I can't say if it would have happen on a regular land line.

Very satisfied customer. I also relocated and was able to keep my old phone number.

The only down side is if you loose power or internet connection in your house..since it relies on your internet, you won't be able to use it in this case
