Does anyone use Vonage? Is that $24.95 deal for local & unlimited long distance just a special?

If it's fine, I might try to get that service because I need it.

I have a couple of clients that use Vonage and for a few it works great and then there is 1 guy that has more problems with it then 1 person should have. I think it has to do with your internet connection, so if it's on the slower side you're service won't be that good.

Other than that.. It's better than paying the phone company 4x's that amount to have the same service.

I use my cable company's phone service and have no problems..

It's not a gimmick, it works great for me. You DO need some sort of high speed from  your internet company. I paid 1 year in advance after 1 month and it brings the cost down to around $20- per month. I've had no problems.

On mine, high speed cable wire goes from cable to a router (about $40- to $50- which you pay for). Router plugs into computer. And telephone to router. That's it!
