Does anyone use a South Pacific windlass on their boat ? Goods and bads about them please?

South Pacific is the make, and windlass in this case is an electrical 12 volt winch device for retreiving the anchor, used on fishing or sailing boats and similar

  1. Sorry to be dim, Stuart, but I've not heard of it.  Can you enlighten, please?  I have a small narrow boat for use on canals and use the usual ones for those locks.  If you can tell me what a South Pacific is, I'll e-mail appropriate boating friends and ask your question since you've not had any responses yet.

    Tuesday p.m.  Tried my best bet, I thought.  A friend who is an off-shore sailor and the biggest aluminium boat builder in the UK, but unfortunately, he's never used a South Pacific.

  2. I have a North Atlantic Breeze More on my boat. The only problem I have is it never works. Other then that I highly recommend it.
