Question:

Does anyone use a desktop video phone?

I need to find a system that allows users to speak by using the phone lines - not a computer. I have a close friend who has cancer - yet we are two states apart. She does not have a computer and cannot afford one. I want to buy a videophone - NOT a cellphone - so I can see her every day and give her my support. Does anyone have any experience with this? What brands should I look up? I need to buy two systems - one for her and one for me.

  1. I can certainly help you here, the company I use has its own digital network in the USA ,and it is specifically designed for video phones.

The company has a family programme where you get 2 phones, so that you can keep in touch with family members across the country.

I am based in the UK and we will not get the service for a few more months, so I am not sure of all the details, but if you go to this web site www.iolair.acnrep.com  and on the opening page click on the SELECT YOUR COUNTRY button, found at the lower right hand side of the screen, then click on the US flag you will find all the information under products.

I believe you can even order a complete system on that web site, but make sure you get to the US section.

What I do know is that this company has the largest digital network in the US and is the world leader in video phone technology.

I have seen the quality of the service and its is excellent.

If you have any problems feel free to get back to me by email.
