  1. white vinegar and newspapers are great! I'm sure you can use on countertops too. I never have, since I use an anti-bacterial... but I don't see why not.

  2. Yes.  White vinegar.  They say newspaper will prevent streaking but the only time is works for me is when I clean the window with cloth, then use a squeegee.  Then, wipe with newspaper.

  3. OH DEAR!  DO NOT USE vinegar on GRANITE.  Granite has to be cleaned with non acidic cleansers, best to use a cleaner specifically used for granite.  White vinegar, 1/2 cup to 1 cup of water and A DROP of dishwashing liquid in a spritzer and spritz on the window and wipe down with a wadded up newspaper.  It should not only CLEAN the window, but actually polish the windows.  Do not do this in full sun, it should be shaded to minimize streaking.  If streaking occurs, add more water and vinegar and no more dish washing liquid.  I think the black on the newspaper helps to make them seem cleaner and also newspaper is a little abrasive and helps remove that buildup of dirt.   Hope this helps you!  Good luck!

  4. Yes, it does work, also water with a squirt of Fairy liquid will work as well.(it has to be Fairy, not just any washing liquid)

Use white vinegar (the clear one)

Nooo!!!!  Don't use on granite countertops, if you leave even the smallest drop of vinegar in it, after rinsing, the vinegar will react with the minerals in the granite and it'll pit it.
