  1. If you can see through the dress, I wear a slip.

  2. I saw a young lady today who was certainly not wearing one, and I for one support her choice.

She had a very thin summer dress on over what I believe was a bikini, and it was hot.

  3. why i haven't wore a slip since the early 90s

  4. I don't - not anymore.  Once it became fashionable to show one's underwear (exposed thongs and bras)....that enabled me to stop worrying about what people might see.  And really - you are most likely wearing light fabric because its hot.  Nothing ruins the airflow like a synthetic fabric of a slip.

Let it go ladies....we are liberated....are we not?

  5. Yes I do. See-through clothing is the very definition of trashy.

  6. I think many women do.  I do if I am wearing a skirt or dress that is somewhat sheer.  In fact my husband helps me do the "slip test" for new skirts and dresses.  I go and stand in the middle of the driveway (where is it sunny) and he tells me if he can see a silhouette through them.

    EDIT- Patois

I am the exact same way.  I love silky and soft fabrics.  Many of my clothes have lace trim because I play with it through out the day, especially when I get stressed.

  7. Yes. I make my own because I am so tall.  I like laces and eyelets.  They are easy to make.  I like to "rustle" softly and feel the cool silky brushes of the fabric against by legs as I walk.  I'm into that, how fabrics feel against my skin.  I like guazes, too.

  8. Yes, when you can see my underwear.

  9. I do, when the skirt or dress is sheer or old and thin and I can't bear to throw it out.  Simply force of habit, and love of privacy.

  10. I find the most of my dresses come with a slip.  Also many women are switching to Spanx to keep things in line.

  11. No.  Not even in Winter.

  12. i do

  13. It's funny, my fiance and I were just talking about this.

I generally do not.  I just try to buy skirts and dresses thick enough I don't need one... His mother recently made me a sun dress.. very cute but thin, so she bought me a slip to wear under it.

    It's the only one I own. :)

  14. Love em...or to wear around the house in the evening.

  15. Most of my female friends don't wear slips, even if the dress or skirt is fairly sheer.  The same goes for each of my sisters.  However, I typically wear a slip under my dresses and skirts for a variety of reasons.  One reason is that my clothes seem to hang better on me over a slip - especially when I wear a full slip under my dresses.  Another is that I love wearing frilly lingerie with lots of lace and pretty slips are part of all that.  Another related reason is that I enjoy the thought of a little lace showing when the wind blows my skirt or dress, or I get into a car, etc.  I don't consider myself an exhibitionist (I wouldn't flash my panties, for example), but I think its ok when pretty undies are exposed for a moment!

  16. Yes I do from time to time. It really depends on the shearness of the garment you are wearing. If you can see through it then wear one. Plus the lace sticking out from below is very feminine

  17. Not that I personally know of. But i'm sure some people do.

  18. I do for certain dresses and always to church(force of habit from my Mommom)

  19. Not very often. Most skirts and dresses today are too form fitting, so wearing a slip just wouldn't make sense. I do wear slips to sleep or lounge around in though.

  20. No
