  1. I know a lot of people who have wasted their time going in for an "interview" with this company Vector.  They really like to target teens and college students.  They basically make you sell knives door to door and if you can successfully recruit somebody to work for this company, you get "promoted to a higher rank".  It is pretty much too good to be true unless you have a great passion for knives.  There are other sales positions out there that would bring you better benefits and pride.  Everyone in the neighborhoods I've lived in always ignore or turn away these knife salespeople.  Some have even called the police on them.  Nobody I've spoke with or know who have had any type of experience with this company ever considered a Vector job to be legitimate or respectable.

  2. YES. I used to work for them. I was lured in by their "14.25 base pay plus commission" (it was $14.25 back when i worked there) .. anyways. they sell knives, also known as cutco. I actually made pretty good money, until i ran out of people to sell to. They have you go to peoples houses and do your thing, and then maybe they will buy, maybe not, but you ask them for phone numbers of people who might be interested, and then you call them. I never understood why some of these people would let me come into their homes trying to sell them knives!?! but they did!!!

I HATE selling, i really do. I couldn't stand it any longer, but if you like playing the part of a salesperson, thats what it is. They also have different levels of commission. When you keep reaching different goals for how much you sell, you reach a different level and along with that comes a new title. When i left i was some sort of trainer and if i remember correctly i was making about 20-25% commission? That was so long ago. I had a lot of fun though, i met a lot of people and we had a good time.

  3. Personally, I've never heard of them.  Normally, companies that offer high pay to start are more than likely not too reputable.  They are companies like Primerica that get you to sell their products to your family and friends, and once your resources are used up, they let you go and hire on another poor sap.  Then your family is stuck with services that they do not need, nor want, but were helping you out.
