Does anyone work from home?

I live in a small town and it's really hard to find a job that's consistent. Does anyone work from home? What does it take?

I run a good portion of my company from my home. It's tough work, but being in control of my life and work is unbelievably satisfying.

It's hard to find companies (especially since you live in a small town) that will allow its employees to work from home. Only major cities seem to be progressive enough for that. So let's say working from home, for someone else, is not an option.

Your other option is to start your own business. (Please don't fall prey to any of those internet scams.) Without knowing your educational background and/or employment history, it's hard to give you suggestions here. If you'd like to email me, I'd be happy to give you some individualized help.

I've setup a website which describes the best methods to find a real work from home job.  I only include links to genuine and FREE search websites for data entry and work at home jobs.
