of course the chemical tankers and all those, but what about just regular commuter trains, they always say, if you see something say something, or something to that effect, but lets be honest, if a guy gets on the train with a big duffle bag full of explosives no ones gonna be able to do anything about it thankfully terrorists apparently dont have those things i guess

  1. I think everyone is forgetting the terrorist attack on the train in Madrid, Spain. Many were killed. It is not the USA but we could be next.

  2. no i tend to stay away from them...terrorists dont scare me...they shouldnt scare you or anyone else either

  3. YOu should be vigilant always. And Serious. Any thnig that is not normal should be reported to a police officer or railroad official immediately.

never think you will make a mistake.

    be vigilant.

  4. Terrorists do have those things. Remember the train bombings in Madrid, Spain a few years ago? Yes, I do worry about terrorism on trains.

  5. o ya

  6. it depends because you are asking this question for people are riding trains so

i dont ride trains so i am not afraid but the ones who ride it will be afraid like me if i ride it.

  7. I don't use passenger trains but I worry about them being targeted, since they have been in the past and successfully targeted in other countries. There are lots of places around that are vulnerable targets so, if you think about it too much you're kind of handing them the winning hand and folding. Just, be aware I guess, never know what may happen from  here on out.

  8. Terrorism will, and should, always be a concern.  After the attacks of 9-11 the world changed and people began to open their eyes.  The railroad is a vastly wide open system.  The security of the nations rail systems needs to be seriously beefed up.  I feel that an attack could easily be carried out against, or using, the nations rail systems.

  9. The threat of a terrorist attack on any train is extreme and, thus far, wholly ignored.

The 9/11 bunch trained in aviation in plain sight.  Nothing clandestine at all.

But, todays computer game simulators can teach one to run an engine well enough for terrorist purposes.  Locomotive cabs are readily accessible.  Potential attackers know that they can turn our complacency in such matters against us.

I'd rather be called paranoid, alarmist or even foolish rather than know that I failed to speak up and in so going permitted a catastrophe to happen.

The threat is there.  It is real.  My fellow paranoids and I have been waving red flags all over the place, to no avail.

It is time for people to wake up or deal with the consequences.

  10. i don't worry about explosives on trains as much as on airplanes because with an airplane you can fly anywhere in the world and crash into anything you want in a short amount of time.

  11. terrorists can do anything. they are religious extremist, they are really brainwashed. they are capable of doing anything. so we have to be carefull everywere we go, does not matter is it train or airplane. but we have to try not to become too paranoid too..

    hope it helps
