  1. Thin and big, as opposed to Chicago pizza-pie style? That's going back to pizza's Italian roots. Here are a couple of places I'd say were well worth trying...  both do the thin pizzas, stone-baked in proper wood-fired ovens

The Gourmet Pizza Company, in Gabriel's Wharf, beside the Thames on London's South Bank, is one option.

No weblink: sorry -- best I can do is address and phone number:

    Gabriels Wharf, SE1 9PQ  tel: 020 79283188

Also, Strada: *Really* good pizza here!

Various branches around London and South East: get the full list from the interactive map on their website.

    http://www.strada.co.uk/

They even publish their menu, here: http://www.strada.co.uk/menu.html

My own fave is the Rustica -- tomato, mozzarella, oven roasted Italian sausage, baby artichokes, tomatoes with caramelised onions, capers and fresh oregano.

  2. go asda or sainsburys and you can buy new york style pizzas

  3. in west end, like soho or somewhere there is stoned baked pizzas and they are huge buggers!!

  4. I always thought pizza was Italian

  5. TWO different types of pizza

a bit like an English cheesecake, and an American one.

  6. How about Hard Rock Cafe? x C

  7. try Soho

  8. hey darling

my dad makes amarican pizza its only £3:50 but its the best pizza you ever tried !! i love it !!!

  9. Try Papa Johns or Malletti pizzaria in Soho
