I asked a question this Morning, simply asking is their any person in New Orleans voting for McCain, No racial intent at all, and I was pummeled with race card and I am a racist insults. What am I missing? Blacks were not the only people affected by the Bush incompetence in handling that situation. Why is this a racist question and if some kind of way it is, then I sincerely apologize, that was not my intent.

  1. Good question.  Why should they when the party is using their misfortune as a photo op.

The Republicans are a mess when it comes to real people's lives.

They never know how to handle human misfortune.

    Their goal = profits.

  2. saw you question and saw no problem with it whatsoever!

i wouldn't apologize to these turds until they apologize for slandering

    Sarah Palin's minor daughter!

    Peace!

  3. I do not think it is racist to ask this question.  I believe that the reason why it is seen this way is because it is a known fact that New Orleans is heavily populated by African Americans.  It is also known that when hurricane Katrina happened president Bush did not handle it properly and he did not deliver aide as soon as he could have.  Now of course it is not all of his fault, but the bottom line is that it could have been done better.  So what people began to say is that Bush did not deliver aide fast enough and they assume that it is racist since it involved African Americans.  I believe that Bush could have done better, and I think he knows that now.  It was not handled properly, but as I said since it involved Bush and African Americans then it is assumed that he was racist for not delivering aide in time.  Whenever you have blacks and whites being the topic of conversation then race becomes the discussion.

  4. Not at all.

We must remember it was their white Governor Blanco (D) who handled the situation so incompetently.

EDIT: Incarcerated Bert, you obviously aren't aware that the term "Chocolate City" was used by the idiotic Mayor of N.O., Ray Nagin, in a speech describing the rebuilding of N.O. and returning it to a "chocolate city". If there's a racist flavor to that, blame him.

  5. I answered your question.  I did not think it was racist.  I did think Alicia's post about New Orleans being a city for chocolate people was racist and I called her on it.  Most of the people on here throwing out the term racist are angry white cons, don't apologize to them.

  6. It is a way of putting people off and not answering the question.  The last thing anyone wants in this country is to be called a racist.  One party has a habit of calling the other "Racist"  this usually stops the discussion.

That is the problem there is not true discussion because of this.

Your comment wasnt racist, dont apologize Keep asking good questions.  We need good people with clear eyes to help this country.

  7. The population of New Orleans is 67% black.  A figure that is well known since the Hurricane Katrina disaster.  Actually most of the fault lies with the Governor at the time and the mayor.  The feds sent buses that were never used they sat there never boarded and became covered with water.  Who's fault is that?  Someone sends you a bus to get out with and you don't get on it don't blame the people who provided the bus.

  8. A book for you: Larry Elder's "Stupid Black Men: How to Play the Race Card and Lose."

Elder is black himself. He outlines how people play the race card for all kinds of weak reasons.

    Good luck.

  9. It was just bad timing.

But I think you know the answer.

  10. It's not racist. Then again most cities do not vote for Republicans anyway, NOLA included.

  11. Republicans are sensitive to the fact their policies on the economy and their failures specifically when it pertains to New Orleans are indefensible.  So they resort to "shouting you down" or showering you with thumbs down.

The truth is, their policies discriminate  against the poor and disadvantaged, something blacks are sensitive to.

  12. No need to apologize. Almost every question I ask I seemed to get pebbled with racist slurs.  I have come to the conclusion that it is the nature of a large force on Yahoo Answers, and often your questions and answers will be deleted for no logical explanation.  I never insult any one with racial slurs nor any other kind of insult, I never curse at any one and I never disrespect anyone with my answers.  I only answer questions that I know to be truthfully answered - yet, It seems like a planted element of fake haters.  I say that because they don't even read the questions and the answers most often don't make sense.  Then most of them hide  their questions.  I often wonder if those who run Y/A and have the power to delete are McCain supporters?  And I would imagine that they are. So, It may be hurtful to face the truth about McCain.  This is his third time running, and the element of desperation is showing up everywhere.

There is no doubt the racial element was in place from the beginning in New Orleans,  From Bush flying over the city,  to going on with a birthday celebration with McCain.

  13. THAT is NOT a racist Q. at all.  However, consider the source here, Mr. Jones. I just logged on here a few minutes ago, and as far as I can determine, there are nothing but kids asking really stupid questions on here right now. My advice: Go in there to "edit" and delete your question and try re-asking this same thing later when there may be a few adults with some brains who can provide some good answers.
