  1. It's a good job for some.  You however should not consider a career as a proof reader.

It all depends on the company you work, because most companies will train you, supply you with a list that a retired or a deceased agent once owned.  If you maintain and keep a good relationship with those existing clients they'll in return give you NEW business.  The hardest part is cold calling and trying to sell a product that doesn't fit the client.  Carefully examine their portfolio and see how much they can afford, because you don't want to put them into something and when they can't pay it'll lapse and effect your commissions.  It's a tricky industry, but if you work with the right people you can go a long way.  Try to team up with someone that can help you and in return you can help that person as well.  Hope this helps you.
