    Good Luck!!!

  2. Australian citizens do not require a visa to enter Nicaragua (for up to 30 days; 90 days if you purchase a $5 "Tourist Card"), Honduras (up to 90 days), Costa Rica (up to 90 days), Belize (up to 30 days), Guatemala (up to 90 days),  or Mexico (up to 180 days if in possession of a Tourist Card/FMT form issued free by airlines).

It seems that you are planning to travel across Mexico and Central America, if you're doing this by land i recommend you read up on the Central America Border Control Agreement (CA-4). Under the terms of th CA-4 agreement, any tourist can travel within any of the CA-4 countries (Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Guatemala) for up to 90 days, without completing any entry or exit formalities at the border immigration checkpoints. This period begins at the first point of entry in to any of the CA-4 countries. But, fines are applied for travelers who exceed this 90-day limit. A n additional 30-day request for an extension can be made before the 90 days limit expires.
