Does avoiding the process server damage your case?

If someone is avoiding being served and they have to be served via an alternate method, does the documentation of that avoidance damage them when they actually have to go to court, or does it influence the judge?

  1. Yes, by knowingly avoiding a process server you are showing disrespect for the courts. If I were a seated Judge and you finally arrived in my court after repeated attempts to serve, I would be less likely to be lenient. In other words," Buddy, you're looking at jail time!"
