Does ballet really make your muscles longer and leaner?

i heard that it makes you taller [not much]

and your muscles slimer.

for instance, thighs.

will it make them slimmer, or just tone?

  1. Definately tones you, makes you much more slimmer, enspecially your legs and thighs. Ballet is great for it. However it is a lot of hard work. If you want to do it, be prepared for a lot of pain!!! My sister used to do ballet (ever since 5) eventually it got too tiring for her to balance and she switched to modern dancing at age 22. I still remember she used to come home massaging her foot all the time, it's a lot of pressure on your foot and your legs, and you need a really balanced eating plan. If you don't intend taking it on as a career, you could just do modern dancing, it's much less stressing. It requires a lot of determination to stay focused. Btw. it doesn't make you taller, nothing does. If your genes say you're short, you're short, occasionally it goes the other way around but rarely so.
