Bankruptcy  should only be used as the very last resort

It gives you a fresh start and discharges debt that you owe. It takes a hard work to re-establish your credit and anything you apply for will be at a higher percentage rate. It is on your credit report history for 10 years and the debts for 7 years. It should only be filed as a last resort.
