The thing is, I am not sure Obama really identifies with either group. I worked with somebody a lot like him for years.

Some people just live to pursue their own personal achievement. They count the notches on their gun and only look forward to adding another notch. You really cannot get close and bond with someone like that. It is all about willpower and achievement.
