Does bathtub re-glazing come out decent and what is the cost savings compare to replacing the tub?

I tried that stuff and it came out really bad.  It was all bubbly and had rough spots.  We left it until we could get a jacuzzi tub to replace it and it started to peel off and expose the old tub underneath.  I would not recommend it.

Refinishing a tub can be a successful process if done properly. Make sure that any re finisher you hire follows these basic steps: 1. Acid etches before primer 2. At least two light coats of epoxy adhesive primer 3. At least two - three coats of polyurethane.

They should be able to give you a minimum 5 year warranty, the process if done properly should take a better part of a day and will cost between $300-$500 depending on if it has ever been re glazed before or not and how much repair needs to be done if any.

I have never seen this done well.Why don't you buy a plastic tub,so much easier to clean.

i saw it done once about 18 months ago it came out great still looks great. the price was about $350.00
