That would depend on where one obtains his/her beauty products. There are some ethical companies producing natural beauty products using good stuff like magnesium and olive oil, some harmless stuff like mica, while avoiding harmful things. Some of these natural ingredients can actually improve our health.

In the U.S., however, the vast majority of health and beauty aids are totally toxic, containing things like mineral oil, propylene glycol, parabens and lead and should be avoided. They make us look good but are full of bad stuff that's absorbed through our skin and keeps our lymphatic system, kidneys and liver working overtime to try to save us.
