Does beetroot juice turn your poo purple/red? im freaking out my poo was that colour?

sorry this is crude, but i was freaking out so much because my poo was like purpley reddy and i thought i was bleeding but i just remembered i drank beetroot juice for the first time yesterday and had a big beetroot with salad at dinner...would this cause it do you think?

sometimes, our BM are based on the foods we eat. if it protists and continues after a long while maby you should check with a doctor

If you eat enough of them it will.  Carrots can turn it orange too.
