  1. I'm black, and people who use frequently use discrimination as an excuse annoy me. It's not fair to our ancestors who were truly treated poorly. Instead of looking at your skin color, consider examining yourself first.

  2. I know what you mean!!

my mom is somali and my dad is mexican.

basically, I'm a half black half mexican female muslim.

and I almost NEVER get the jobs I apply for!

but then I ended up threatning to sue and used the race, s*x, and religon card to get my job at barnes and nobles!

    LOL

  3. I hate it when people sue the companies after they applied for a job and then failed because they think their race has to do with it.

It's pathetic. Just like that muslim girl who didn't get a job working in a hairdressing salon because she didn't want to take off her stupid veil piece. I mean how can you work with a scarf covering your face? Just like the muslim who wanted to be a teacher who didn't get the job because she wore a veil. I mean, how can you teach whilst wearing a veil? It's a lack of communication facial expression which is important.

These sort of people are just too much hassle.

    Maybe you have bad luck.

Try moving to the middleast or africa and then you will probably get a job . As long as you don't wear a stupid veil which makes you look like a wringwraith from the lord of the rings.

Anyway, it's probably because of what you look like tbh,,,

Besides, these foreign people hardly ever get the jobs they want simply because they look different an are foreign...

Goodluck in looking for a job though.

  4. I guess it depends.

Are you traditional muslim or more "liberal"?

If getting a job is tough, try working for a family friend instead.

Sadly, post 9/11 ppl may be reluctant to hired you due to discrimination.

  5. After reading your very poorly written question, I wonder if bad grammar and spelling may have been the problem.

Do you speak the way you write?

I'm not trying to put you down, just going on what I see here. You typed your question as if you were talking to a friend in a chat room.

Maybe you just weren't what they were looking for.  Don't pull out the race card every time things don't go the way you want.

  6. This is one of the reasons "racism" is still an issue. Someone doesn't get a job and it's always because they're a "minority". Ever think you really weren't qualified?

  7. If it does, then you might bring it up to someone.

It might be because you are in school. Or maybe you didn't give the answer they wanted. When I interviewed at target I didn't get the job, but my boyfriends friend did. My friends mom was a manager at a target and she said that if you don't answer the questions a certain way they won't hire you.
