Does being a counselour - in training count as community service?

Question

at my high school 24 hours of community service are required to graduate starting from the summer after 8th grade. i am in 8th grade now and this summer i will be doing a program for 2 weeks at a summer camp helping out with stuff. i am wondering if this will count towards the community service, because if it does i will be all set. the thing is i have to pay to do it so i'm not sure if it is technically "community service"
