  1. YES

AND YOU CAN WORK IN YOUR HOME AND RUN A ROUND THE BLOCK AND GO SHOPPING AND WHEN YOU HAVE CLEANED THE DINNER DISHES AND YOU HAVE DONE YOUR DAYS WORK.

  2. Of course not.  Eating a sensible, balanced diet, will help you achieve and maintain a reasonable weight.

I know a thin vegan and one that is seriously overweight.

The fact you don't eat anything derived from animals, to the point of honey, does not mean the diet is healthy or balanced.

Vegan, vegetarian, omnivore, all diets are subject to abuse and distortian.  If you want to loose weight, you need to eat a healthy and balanced diet.   Whether it includes animal products is beside the point.

Please, resrach any diet you choose to follow.  However,a vegan or even fruitarian diet does not imply weight loss.

  3. Bunch of girls from school decided that they were not going to eat meat, fat, sugar or anything except fruit and vegetables.

Using whole grain breads, cereals, beans, tofu and soy milk.

I was going out with her.

WE ate at taco bell, vegetarian pizza and then she started to make her own dishes, because she was becoming vegan.

So breakfast was a soy milk protein shake with strawberries and lunch was a boca burger, and fruit.  Dinner was a salad with 3 beans salad on top.  She got real skinney.

She was obcessed about what she put in her body.

Her skin cleared up and she got to looking really sharp.

    Then she dumped me.

  4. It didn't for me.  I weigh exactly the same.  I feel great though because I am eating so much healthier and for me it was a moral issue so I feel great about that too.  I just love animals so much and I just didn't have the heart to eat them any more.  Go to meat.com and you will think twice about eating meat, dairy, and eggs again.  It will actually make you feel sick to watch it.  It had me in tears.

  5. if you eat really healthy, not too many calories and exericise well, yes. but you could be vegan and eat popato chips and vegan ice cream all day, and then you´ll gain weight. but for the most part I think vegans are pretty good with their weight.

  6. I can only say, I know a vegan and he is pretty  BIG (sort of fat) so I'm not sure.

  7. Eating fewer calories than you burn makes you lose weight.

As a vegan, you can still eat too much or exercise too little.  It's not a weight-loss plan.

  8. no you still have to watch what you eat

  9. No. It isn't a weight loss regime. There are vegans of all shapes and sizes, just as there are vegetarians and meat-eaters of all shapes and sizes.

In the course of my life I have been a meat-eater, a vegetarian and a vegan. At different times I've lost and put on weight on all three diets, depending on how healthily I was eating and how much exercise I was getting.

If you choose to become vegan, do it for better reasons than weight loss; you can lose weight just as effectively on a diet that includes meat.

  10. It all depends on how big you are and what your eating habits are to begin with. If you are are a frequent eater of meat, particuarly fried or fast foods, then YES you will most certaintly lose weight by adapting a vegan lifestyle. If you are large then you will probably lose quite a bit of weight from changing your lifestyle. If you aren't, then you don't have much to lose and wont drop below a healthy weight as long as your consuming the correct amount of calories and a good variety of foods. :)
