  1. If you are vegetarians and really tall, why would you ask this question.

Being vegetarian doesn't stunt your growth.

    Eating meat doesn't stunt growth.

Eating a bad diet can stunt your growth.

......and for clarity, eating an unbalanced diet may stunt your growth.

  2. no a vegetarian does not stunt someone groth

  3. Does eating meat make you really tall? - No.

  4. Well I'm 5'5 (fully grown), my dad is 5'7 and my mum is 5'8.

I'd say I ended up just the right size and I've been a vegetarian all my life.

  5. You might not have been a veg your whole life, but a good number of people who have are seriously lacking the protein, vitamins, and minerals that you can only find in meats or dairy.

  6. Of course it doesn't.  I don't know where you heard that one.

  7. nope. i've grown 1 1/2 inches since i became a vegitarian 6 months ago!

  8. Nope

In fact, vegetarians are usually some of the healthiest eaters on the planet and, therefore,  are more likely to reach their full height than non-vegetarians.

All of the vegetarians/vegans in my family grew to be taller than those who continued to eat meat.

  9. No.  Severe malnutrition in childhood may stunt one's growth.  But vegetarianism does not equate with that in any way.  There are enough children who have been raised vegetarian from birth to generate statistics that prove that vegetarians attain the same average adult height as the general population.

  10. NO

  11. Nope.

Smoking and drinking will though. So eat well, and don't poison your body, and you'll be set.

  12. It does not. But you must consult a person very knowledgeable in vegetarianism before you fully plunge into it. This is because you must know about things like ' protein complementation,' sources of vitamin B12, sources of iron and zinc etc. etc. Once you are an expert on these matters, you will find that a vegetarian diet is much healthier than a meat diet. I've been a vegetarian for many years, and when I ask people to guess my age, they normally guess about 20 years younger ! Go for it.

  13. No, so long as you get enough protein and other stuff.

  14. Not really no...

  15. i dont think it does as long as you are still getting protein

  16. Being a vegetarian does NOT ---nor will stunt your growth.

Be sure to eat food that are rich in protein, calcium, and all essential vitamins and minerals.

  17. My best Friend is a vegetarian. I will ask her.
