  1. As stated before, Eagle Scout will give you E-2 upon enlisting. You won't get to wear the stripe until you graduate, but you get the E2 pay for your entire time at Basic.

Usually a bachelor's degree(actually any college equaling or exceeding 45 semester hours) will give you E3 upon enlisting. I'm not sure since you school is nationally accredited. I know we don't accept diplomas from nationally acredited high schools. But I'm not sure if the same rule goes for colleges. Basically each MEPS (Military Entrance Processing station) has a book of all the colleges that the Air Force recognizes. You'll have to contact your loal recruiter who will contact his servicing MEPS.

A lot of folks don't get the national accredited schools vs. regionally accredited. Although it sounds backwards, the regionaly accredidation is much harder to receive. The big difference is that nationally accredited schools do have to prove their teachers have degrees. This is why most large universities (public and private) are regionally accredited.

  2. Eagle Scouts come in as E-2s, I believe.

I have total admiration for Eagle Scouts, my church sponsors a Boy Scout troop and there are several Eagle Scouts...they do a hella lot of good work for the community.

Have you considered ROTC at the college level?  Just a thought.

  3. You already have the benefits now you'll just take some time to see them.

  4. Last I heard it was good for a stripe going in. Talk to a recruiter for exact details.
