  1. I think those two are contradictory.  Being good has to include actions.  It's like saying I have a car that is incapable of moving.  If it can't move, it's a lawn ornament, not a car.

  2. the most evil parts are those from good cos oredi good so when evils did, everyone sees as the goodside. however if a person see a good person as bad, whatever the goods we did always as bad. therefore the good for nothing is called.

  3. a good person applies to all the conformist ways of society and does nothing to interfere with others views.

a good-for-something person is considered conformist good because they are seen as having their own way of thinking.

these people are more likely to have morals because they think in their own way and not by society.

  4. Cool! she can't be influenced by us. :) hee hee...i am a cops.

  5. No.

Wet makes a person moral is believing in something and acting accordingly. Goodness has nothing to do with being moral, like the how one plays the game has nothing to do with playing the game. They are strategies that get labeled good or bad at some point. It would be nice if that point came early in ones life but in the long run it does not matter. A Van Gogh is every bit as good as a Picasso to someone who likes art. Sadly picasso lived a life filled with success and Van Gogh was recognized posthumously.

  6. Being yourself you do not need any morality any more..Being something, good or bad, man or woman, smart or stupid, rich/pour etc leading you away from yourself and then there is a morality presence of which allows you to remain in a club.

  7. I feel that being good has not much to do with morality.

Being good is based more on sentimentality.  Morality is more of the intellect.  That's my opinion.

This "thumbing down" issue is getting really annoying.....

I only thumb up, especially my answerers, even if I do not agree with their answer.  I feel like they are my guests and I should behave like a hostess. Isn't it?  Don't apologize dear. We all know what decent person what a good player you are. xoxoxox

  8. Dear friend!!!

Please understand that the two actions viz. (1) doing/being good and (2) Being good for something are different altogether.

First one is generally doing good to others with out expecting anything in return and not in anticipation of any favor.

The second one is something like a commercial, and you are being good only for something anticipated in response.

It is always good to be in the first preposition. Masters say that

"YOU SERVE CONTINUOUSLY UNTIL YOU FORGET THAT YOU ARE SERVING."

This means as you are being good, you should not be noticing that you are being good. You should be good , that is all, with out remembering so. Then only the real good being now, helps you to neutralize the evil Karma that is stagnated from the Past Births.

If you are being good for something, it is an equation only. It does not give you any balance good result, as it is meant for something in return.

So please understand the propose of the life, that will explain you everything.

  9. Good may be different than moral, and useful is waaaay different. Ladies of the evening are useful and good but most people believe they are immoral.

  10. both are natural human behaviour ,intent of the person ,behind being good  will determine the persons morality

  11. Good and moral basically mean the same thing.

Like, you could easily substitute each for each other.

And I think that both are really subjective and so while it varies what good actually means, since it's a synonym for "moral" (as an adjective) it would mean that a person being good would make them moral and vice versa.

  12. ...no, just able to accomplish the task...

  13. Not necessarily.....

Lolli-gaggers, Ne'er Do-wells....and "Good For Nothings".....can be equally as moral.

    Cheers!

    :)

  14. does being good in bed makes a person moral, lol?

frankly, I think morality is such a biased concept, invented for idiots who like following rules. I've met junkies that were more kind and more open than priests who wouldn't perform the ceremony of a burial for someone who didn't pay the money for the church that year... I've met someone in an mental institution who would do more for his fellow patients than the doctors did, I've met a Peace Corp person who pretended to "help" the people of a country in need when in fact she was doing terrific on the money she was receiving from the organization than she would have managed to do back home in the US... what is moral in these cases? Why is it more moral to be a baptist minister and give money to the gypsies in Europe (ignoring the side effects of the fact that you manage to teach them to expect everything from others and not to help themselves) when your only goal is to convert them to your church... than giving a glass of water to someone who needs it in a hot day?

I simply don't know... and that makes me a lot more skeptical to everything I see around me.

  15. Being good in my own eyes? or my neighbours? or my parents? or by everyone?. Certainly theres gotta be someone I'd be making unhappy by my good deed , even if the rest of the world is happy with it. and that puts the word GOOD in question.

What is GOOD? What is being Good?

Being useful? Being harmless? being polite? Can a person be good and bad at the same time. my two friends one of them thinks me good , the other thinks me bad. am I good or bad. Dont even get me started about morality.
