Does being more assertive and not taking so much c**p automatically mean you can be slapped down?

Some people can't handle it whenever someone acts assertively.  They'll do a lot to try and put you down.  Just ignore them and continue to take good care of yourself.

i think that, people who have set good personal boundaries and limits in their lives, won't end up associating with people who hand out c**p and try to slap others down.

Abusive people tend to avoid those who set limits, because they are looking for weak targets.

yes. people tell you to get up when you are down. when you are up, people try to take you down. it is amazing really.
