  1. Yes, one perceived subjective experience can set off another perceived subjective experience, if confirmation bias and the power of suggestion are properly utilized.

  2. If a person has abilities, they will pick up on a location naturally.  It usually does not hinder or surpress their abilities.  If that person is not aware of their abilities, it could cause a bit of confusion.

  3. I would say it does as if a person is sensitive to such things (even though latant) they get those feelings that something is going on.

I would say it was the individual that supresses that kind of talent. SOme are so much so that it is impossible to shut it off all they can do is protect themselves. But Its a little like saying to yourself " no I dont see anything" when your little (believing the monsters away) it drives the ability dormant like any thing a skill or even a natural ability needs to be used or it will atrophy away and become dormant but it doesnt mean it has gone just that you need to practice.

Make not of things, keep track of your dreams and experiences. Take time to sit and get the feel of a place it will help.

You know you still have this ability when you walk into a place and the hairs stand up on the back of your neck...or you sake hands with someone and just feel like you know them...

I truely believe its down to the person.

    hope thats helpful!

  4. In other words, do haunted places have the capacity to awaken any psychic abilities that may not already be evidently manifested? Hmmm.

Haunted places can trigger what would most definitely be dormant abilities if the person is open to it.  If you are an out and out sceptic it would be next to impossible to sense any energy differences that might be present in a haunted place because your conscious and subconscious block any notion that a haunted presence exists.

However, since in energy terms, like attracts like, and you walk into a place you know is haunted and therefore sustain the belief that it is, you will then likely 'sense' any differences if they do exist.

I have encountered 'unnerving' presences sometimes in places I have least expected to feel them and these are often normal places, but energies left by the previous occupants many still linger.  As a form of explanation, it is akin to psychometry when psychics can pick up an item belonging to someone else and 'read' the blueprints of their energies imprinted on that item.

As a 'sensitive' person myself, I have visited places and actually felt hit with pain and nausea and was taken to hospital so I cannot exclude saying that an otherwise 'non-psychic' can have their abilities triggered this way.

Also, I would re-word the question and make it more specific... Can being in a haunted location trigger latent psychic abilities?

And the answer would then be yes (unless you are a sceptic).
