Does being on deferred adjudication,affect your being able to apply for a visa?

or if you had an MIP on your record, (minor in possession of alcohol), affect your getting a visa?

  1. No. After 6 months it's a done deal. You can get a visa, passport, job, get drafted or do what you want.


  2. it depends on the place your are going and how long you are staying at....i know people who have or had outsanding warrants who couldnt get visas

  3. Since when did credit card companies care whether or not someone has a criminal record?  Visa, Mastercard, American Express don't care one bit.

    Oh, you mean to travel?  I believe a visa can be issued and that you should have no problem going anywhere, but for sure check with the State Department to see if the country to which you are traveling denies entry for the crime of which you were sentenced.
