Does being pro gun make people killers or responsible for those that do use a gun to kill?

This is the same kind of thinking that people opposed to abortion, say Obama is a killer of unborn babies and wants them dead? Is this no different? Please explain the difference?

A gun is a tool, no different than a knife, lawn mower or rake. Blaming the gun for killing someone is like blaming your keyboard for misspelling words. It's the person that pulls the trigger.

People kill people and you can't stop it. If you banned guns, people would just switch to knives or buy the guns illegally. However, If you make sure that good people have access to guns too, then the bad guys won't have all the power. Gun control increases crime.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, after the Communists took over the Chinese government, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 under the regime of dictator Adolf Hitler. From 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others living in Germany who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia (Kampuchea) established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million "educated" people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981,100,000 Mayans, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

GRAND TOTAL: Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: OVER 56 MILLION. To give you an idea, that's a little more than one out of every six Americans currently living in the United States. Here's a better illustration: That's over 3 million more people than the combined population of the states of New York and California.

HOW ABOUT THIS? It has now been over a year since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government; a program costing Australian taxpayers more than $500 million. The first year results are now in:

Australia-wide, homicides are up 32 percent.

Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent.

Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent!)

In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 PERCENT!!!

Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned their firearms in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns! Figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, but the rate of armed robbery with firearms has gone up drastically in the past year, since criminals are now guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove gun control laws DO NOT WORK.

You won't see this data on the U.S. evening news, nor will you hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Nope. Guns have been used many times for self Defense. Pro gun people support legal gun rights not stolen guns. In areas where guns are easy to obtain legally and Canceled Weapons permits are easy to obtain, crime rates actually go down.

However where guns are hard to obtain through legal means the crime rates go up.

Pro-gun advocates support anyone and everyone having gun regardless of their intended use. They claim to only support legal, responsible use of guns, but everytime the phrase "gun control" which does the same thing, is brought up, they fight against it, because some right-wing idiot has brainwashed them into thinking gun control means gun ban.

Well if registering a gun, putting a serial number in a gun, and controlling whether or not psycho paths with a history of violence can own one, is a ban? Why do we still have automobiles?

We liscense them, register them, put serial numbers on them, and tell people who have a histroy of DUI and other ilegal use, that they can't drive them, but we still have them readily available for people who know how to use them responsibily.

It works te same way with abortions. Right-wing cult leaders convieniently forget to inform people that partial birth abortions only occur under emergency situations in the USA. they make up about 1% of all abortions, because they only occur if a doctor believes there is no other alternative. Of course we could make them illega and allow both the mother and the child to die like they did in the dark ages when they didn't have a clue how to save the life of the mother when a pregnancy went bad.

Likewise, they also convieniently forget to mention that most abortions occur prior to the 16th week, and most places are reluctant to abort a fetus between the 16th and 20 week. after the 20th week it become a late term abortion, which will only be performed under emergency conditions. If we make them illegal, now the medical field no onger has the same control over when abortions occur, and back alley abortionists will do it clear up to the time of giving them a social security number.

Obama is different from an advocate. He is a politican who has the power to stop things from happening but he chooses not to. Even to the extreme of supporting partial birth abortions on demand.

Guns don't kill people, People kill People... That's pretty simple to understand.

You don't need a gun to kill someone. It's not that complicated...

Abortion is also a simple issue, if you have one, you just prevented a life from being lived. That makes someone a killer.
