Does bike weight matter in Street BMX?

Question

For instance, would tricks on a 35 lbs bike be harder to do than on a 26 lbs bike or is it just technique? Is bike weight a big deal?

I think its all personal preference cause my friend rides a heavy bike and can still do the same tricks as i can on a 27 pound bike. The only really big thing is he doesnt get his 360's and 180's as high.

yes its bettter to have a lighter bike. you have more control and ability.

It depends on the rider.

But i like to have a lite bike because its easier to do high bunny hops and some other tricks are also easier on a lite bike.

I guess it would be a big deal

If your used to riding a lite bike and then switch to a heavy one, your gonna have some trouble doing some tricks.
