Does biking work getting your legs toned up?

What is better for toning your legs.. biking or running? will either of them tone my legs up?

  1. it seems that running tones your lower legs and biking tones your thighs.


  2. A resounding yes is the anwser. It will happen faster if you climb hills too. Try working your way up to a brisk fifteen to twenty miles two or three times a week. You should notice a difference after about two weeks.

  3. The answer is yes.  Actually, if you slide forward on your seat, you're going to focus on your calves.  If you slide your butt back, you will target your quads and glutes.

    Worked for me.

    Running works well, too.

  4. I disagree with answer #1... I think biking gives both while running focuses on the lower legs/calves.

    and biking is way more fun!
