  1. Cycling will work the abs but only to a small extent and only after you built up your legs.  You would be better off doing crunches for the abs and it will not spot reduce your stomach fat.   But cycling will help reduce weight which will lose that stomach fat.

  2. Losing fat is a matter of ingesting fewer calories than you burn on a daily basis.  Unfortunately, you can't target particular fat deposits.  It all comes off equally.  As long as you are burning more than you eat, though, it will ultimately come off your belly.

Cycling is an excellent activity for boosting your daily calorie burn rate.  It is not a great workout for the abs, or core muscles, in general.  Along with cycling, you should add crunches, sit-ups, push-ups, pull-ups and planks to strengthen your core.

    Hope this helps.

  3. cycling can help reduce fat as part of a diet and exercise package, but it does little to actually work the abs.  the thing is working them doesnt take an ounce of fat off.  it just builds muscle.  the fat is removed by losing weight.
