  1. Well, yes and no. Whether it be for an adult or a child, any type of treatment for autism including biomedical may only work in some cases. It is known that even if 2 children/adults have the exact same characteristics of autism a treatment may work for one of them but not the other. No one can say for sure if it will work in an individual or not without having them try it first. In some cases yes biomedical treatments such as medicine; vitamins/minerals; and special diets do work, but not in all cases.

  2. Autism is a lifelong condition and not "cureable" - ask any autistic person.

If curing autism is your goal, I urge you to use caution.  Almost all of it is some sort of quack therapy.  If a true medical condition that warrants the use of these therapies exists, that's different but nothing will cure autism.

  3. I have an older child with autism and I use Bio-med stuff with him.I urge you to give it a try.Anyone can benefit from taking nutritional suppliments. It probably wont cure, but can help with calming, and even attention spam, and giving more patience. If sleep issues are a problem.Melatonin or valerian may help.A healthy diet, free of processed foods will hurt no one.Check out the autism research institute and some of the yahoo groups that deal with autism and biomed stuff. Some kids that don`t respond to bio-med,have been helped with homeopathy,if you can find a doctor that knows how to treat autism.Check out the book Perscription For Nutritional Healing.

  4. It basically works for none... no one.

Chelation and stuff like that kill people the same with b12 injections and the lot.

The only thing which i know works is the gfcf diet
