I know it helps with oxygen, but if, say, you took a blood sample, can you decipher any vitamins in the individual's body with it?

  1. Yes.

  2. Vitamins are needed as cofactors for the function of several enzymes, most of which reside in the cells.

How do you think drugs, or for that matter, ANY substance including inhaled gases, substances or nutrients taken by the mouth, etc. reach the many cells of the body.

Of course, by the circulatory system, what is the transport fluid of the circulatory system, THE BLOOD!! or maybe better to say plasma, the liquid part of the blood,

  3. What good would taking vitamins do if they don't get distributed.  The blood stream distributes food and other things through the system, including drugs and alcohol.
