I usually blowdry my hair straight, I have african american biracial hair (more on the kinky side) and i blowdry my hair straight most of the time, i do leave my hair curly *sometimes* but only later to have it poof up into this huge afro like this http://www.beauty-and-the-bath.com/image-files/medium-hair-cut-courteney-cox.jpg

and I use the blowdryer to straighten my hair once a week.. is that gonna damage my hair?

  1. Blow drying and flat ironing hair does damage to hair whether you put a heat protector on your hair or not. To combat this, every week before you wash your hair....do a hot oil treatment.

  2. over time but not if you use a heat resistant product like Nexxus Heat Glide(at salons or online)

  3. blow drying does damage somewhat (but less if you use protection products) and when you have hair,, it either wants to be straight or wavy/curly. if you like to leave it curly one day and straighten the next, over some time it will probably confuse your hair and damage more.

  4. Not blow drying is waaayyy better then using an iron, an iron will kill your hair.

  5. blow dry will do damage....
