Question:

Does breast feeding really ruin your b*****s?

I remember breast feeding my oldest child for short time before he switched to formula. I went through engorgement and everything and continued to lactate some until he was almost a year old even though I wasn't breast feeding. My b*****s bounced right back after engorgement and I had no stretch marks on them. But with my daughter I have managed to breast feed her for almost 8 weeks now. Does breast feeding her longer mean that my b*****s will never be normal again?

I still don't see any noticable stretch marks, though there are a couple that are there, but barely able to be seen. Does it automatically mean that I will have flat "pancakes" after my milk dries up?

  1. Pregnancy, not nursing, makes your b*****s sag. So if there's damage to be done, it's already done. Nurse away, mama!

  2. I have 3 kids and one on the way. I breast feed all of them and it hasn't ruined my breast. the only thing that I hate is that my b*****s were bigger before I first got pregnant and now they shrunk down but that's due to the milk not breast feeding. If you don't wanna breast feed then buy a pump and pump the milk out that way you can freeze it, so you can have milk on hand for your baby.

  3. not at all. "bad" b*****s are generally a result of genetics. Some women can have 10 babies, nurse every one for 2 years, and still come out perky. Others (like me) have floppy, saggy b***s long before they have kids. Keep nursing, its good for you and your baby.

  4. It really depends on your body and how big they get during pregnancy. I myself went from a b cup to a DD. I got stretch marks before I even had my babies. My b*****s did not get any larger from nursing. They stayed the same since my pregnancy. I have been breast feeding for 4 months now, and will continue until he is a year or more. My husband said when I was skinny my b*****s looked flat but hey look at the difference between the two sizes. It really doesn't bother me what my b*****s look like, I much more prefer to feed my son whats best for him. The benefits outweigh my looks by far!! Congratulations on the baby and Thumbs up on the breastfeeding!!

  5. No. Mine are still like new after feeding 3 kids. They are perky and firm. Wear a good bra all the time. I breast fed them each 1 year. You also give them a great bonding experience and lower your risk for breast cancer and lower there change of diabettes

  6. Breast feeding itself does not change the appearance of your b*****s.  Its when the milk is actually coming in that changes them, so wheather you breastfeed for 8 weeks or 8 months, its going to make no difference.  So enjoy it while you can!

  7. Sweetie, its all in your genes. I didnt breast feed and my b***s have stretch marks on them. I went from a 34B to a 38C. So its all genetics not wether or not you breast feed.
