  1. Absolutely not.  It doesn't stimulate you to produce milk exactly the way the suckling of an infant does, but it is fairly similar.  If it is uncomfortable for you, try turning down the suction on your machine.

  5. Absolutely not - nipples are actually incredibly flexible and hardwearing. Babies suck much harder and more effectively than pumps - it is what nipples were designed for! My best advice is get a good well-fitting maternity bra, use nipple pads just for the softness, never wash your b*****s with soap and use a light nipple cream - lanolin based ones worked best for me. All going well you shouldn't need to pump too much unless you have a medical problem or plan on going back to work really quickly. Well done though - breast milk is the best gift you can give your baby - less allergies, less obesity in later life, stronger and healther all in all. Breast is best!

  11. it can make them sore if you do it incorrectly  by puming to hard on a manual pump , but as for ruining them not to sure what you mean .

  12. no its actualy makes them nice and soft my wife used it.does leave marks for a while.
