  1. Relating to gold the answer would depend on the price buying and selling with respect to both countries. (daily)

You need to check the Indian market for the daily commodity price of gold but this mornings price in the US was USD 816.10 an hour or so ago (per troy ounce).

The gold price is measured in this way with USD world wide. It has dropped recently quite a bit but I do believe that the price in India would be always higher, so yes in answer to your question.

It is a good time to buy gold at present as last month saw a high of USD 969.00 approximately compared to today's price.

It also peaked in Bangladesh at around USD 1000.00 at about the same time so this would give you some idea of the differences.

If you are buying bullion compared to jewellry the prices vary somewhat based on the finesse and I would always go with bullion

(you know what you are getting).

Diamonds I can't help you with.
