Does it? An interesting question i've been wondering lately. Cuz from what i've seen a pretty high dosage of both together with a low tolerance it can mess you up.

  1. At first place, we should avoid any irrational use of drugs.

Caffeine and Tetrahydrocannabinol, they are both central-nervous-system stimulants.

Co-administration of them has a synergistic or additive effect increasing the psychoactive properties of THC. If u take caffeine with THC, u may experience the exaggerated unwanted effect of THC.

Yet, THC is under investigation and its exact mechanism of action is not fully cleared.

  2. eh.. kind of. i had a lost energy drink b 4 and it wasnt anything to special... Maby if its like at the same time...

  3. No, it does not effect THC. Caffeine is a stimulant and THC is not. Therefore they do not work together, if anything they are more antagonists.

  4. THC works on the cannabinoid receptors, CB1 & CB2.  Those are mainly in the brain and spinal chord.

Caffeine works against the adenosine receptors, A1, A2a, causing the heart to beat faster and raising blood pressure.

It's like a rat in a maze.  Given THC, the rat will enjoy it.

Given caffeine, the rat will hurriedly pass through the maze.

Given both, the rat will tend to forget because of the speed in which memories are made.

So, does caffeine enhance the effect of THC?  I don't think so.  THC is an agonist and caffeine is an antagonist; they work oppositely.
