Does candle light help plant growth?

If I were to burn a candle next to a plant, (but not too close), will it grow better? Does chlorophyll absorb firelight and will the candle provide more CO2 from it's combustion?

  1. I'm pretty sure candle light would not affect a plants growth.

Interesting theory about CO2 but I'd guess it really would not be a benefit, it would not produce enough plus any would be lifted away from the plant due to heat rising. You can but C02 tanks and release your own into you grow room.

Your best with a high watt flouresent (for mothers or clones) and metal halide or HPS (high presure sodium), for the vegging and floqwering stages. HPS are excellent for growing indoors !

  2. i tried this growing indoors, and sincei  was leaving i blew it out since i didnt want my house catchign on fire, buth then my closet filled up with smoke and ended up killing the newly born seedlings  :[, and its unsafe, so dont do it, but if your not attempting to do it and are just askin a question, then i think its too little of light and CO2 to make much of a difference
