Does car insurance get significantly cheaper when you turn 21?

I had my own insurance at 20 and it was about 315/month.  When I turned 21 it reduced to 285/month so yes, it should go down but depending on your state will be how much.  I am NJ for reference.

Insurance changes if you are married at 21, otherwise, it is when the person reaches 25.  It is also cheaper for females than males.

The older you get the cheaper your insurance gets (unless you have a horrible driving record!)

Generally it will decrease some when you turn 21 because it will have been 5 years you have been driving.
